J.P. Licks Goes "Wild" with Hamisi's TreeTopper Delight

Limited-Edition Ice Cream Flavor Makes Hamisi's Birthday Even Sweeter

 

WHAT:          Franklin Park Zoo has teamed up with J.P. Licks, the homemade ice cream and fresh roasted coffee cafes with nine shops in and around Boston, to create the first-ever giraffe-themed ice cream flavor, made with two foods that Franklin Park Zoo’s giraffes like to eat – strawberries and bananas!

Named after the youngest member of the giraffe family, Hamisi’s TreeTopper Delight is delicious strawberry ice cream with fresh bananas.

The flavor will be available for the month of July at J.P. Licks’ locations in celebration of Hamisi’s 1st birthday on July 23 and the introduction of a new giraffe encounter platform at the Zoo’s Giraffe Savannah exhibit later this summer.  The platform offers visitors a unique opportunity to see Hamisi and his parents, Beau and Jana, up-close.

Everyone who orders a cup or cone of Hamisi’s TreeTopper Delight will receive a coupon for $2 off of one admission ticket to Franklin Park Zoo.

WHERE:       Hamisi, Beau and Jana can be seen on the Giraffe Savannah at Franklin Park Zoo. They share this space with a herd of endangered Grevy’s zebras.
